Björn Steinar

Enthusiastic product designer from the Icelandic Academy of Fine Arts, living
in Reykjavik. He is the founder and employee of Plastplan, a design studio that
focuses on creating valuable and functional objects from recycled plastic.
Björn uses design as a medium to communicate ideas. He says of himself that
he follows an honest design practice, with a real purpose, where no one is
cheated – not people or the planet. With a critical yet solution-oriented eye,
he explores fresh ways in which we can engage with our globalized consumer
world.
