Artur Bartkowiak
Director of the Center for Bioimmobilization and Innovative Packaging Materials, Faculty of Food and
Fisheries Sciences, West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, specialization: chemical
technology, specialization: biopolymer and packaging technology. Chairman of the Council of the
Scientific Discipline of Food and Nutrition Technology. He also worked in Switzerland at the
University of Technology in Lausanne.
The professor has 30 years of experience in research on polymeric and cellulosic packaging materials
and the use of microencapsulation/encapsulation methods in various industrial applications.
Director of CBIMO ZUT, responsible for CBIMO activities. Manager, coordinator and principal investigator of
more than 40 R&D and scientific projects, both domestic and international, in the field of packaging
materials and micro/nano carrier formation processes for the food, household chemical,
pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical industries. Extensive experience in cooperation with
more than 100 business partners. One of the originators and co-organizer of the Natureef
Association, which brings together manufacturers of materials and packaging that are active in R&D
related to the Closed Circuit Economy. Board member of the Bioeconomy Cluster Association. The
professor’s scientific output includes 125 creative works, including 24 patents.
